How to Fix ‘Another Update in Process’ Error in WordPress

You can fix this issue either by waiting (usually clears up after an hour or so) or by removing a row from the options table in your WordPress database.

Solution:

1. Login to your hosting control panel and open phpMyAdmin

2. Click on the options table (your prefix may be different than wp_)
   • 
3. Search for core_updater.lock and delete the row.
   • 
4. Try updating the site again.
